The disability services industry is currently experiencing a crisis level worker shortage. In order to support our residents, we need engaged and committed employees. Bridges MN has been able to hire and retain top talent because we are as committed to our employees as we are to our residents.

Most direct support professional entry-level positions pay about the same amount as a fast food restaurant or a convenience store. We pay our entry-level employees 20% more than those positions. More pay does come with more complexities, but we have found that employees are happy to accept the unexpected daily challenges in exchange for the increased compensation. Just as important, we all have the opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of the vulnerable people we serve and the larger disability community.

We are very proud to offer our employees generous benefits that will help them in whatever stage in life they are in. Our benefits package includes free child care, free professional development and personal growth classes, health and wellness challenges, profit sharing, 401k match, medical, dental and life insurance, long term-disability, and an employee-assistance program.

Culture and Growth

We work tirelessly to create a culture that we all want to be a part of. As Bridges continues to grow, we make an effort to find opportunities that best fit our employee's career growth goals. We frequently promote from within and give employees opportunities to grow in their personal and professional lives. We offer a clear path to professional development: Whether someone wants to stay in their current position, move to a new area and learn new skills, or take on more responsibility and accountability, there is room for everyone.
