Independent Living Services
The Independent Living Services program at Bridges is designed to help people learn, and ultimately master, daily skills required to live independently. Our staff first establishes goals and with the individual, and then spends 1:1 time with that person to achieve desired outcomes. We assess various service categories and determine any that can be barriers which drive results and a better quality of life.
ILS training addresses:

- Interpersonal skills
- Self-care (personal hygeine, dressing and clothing care)
- Meal planning and nutrition
- Problem solving

I am very pleased with the way the staff balance respect with watchful care. They encourage my sister to make choices, and use her voice in expressing her preferences. The staff keeps me informed of medical and health issues, as well as responding to any questions or concerns I have.
